Week 2

Hello everyone!

Brazil is so amazing. To start off, my P-day is Wednesday here, but I'm not allowed to email or anything. I can only email for 50 minutes on Tuesdays, so I am super sorry if it takes me a long time to answer you! I appreciate your love and support more than you'll ever know. We go to the temple on P-day mornings, and the first time was an amazing experience. The Sao Paulo temple is beautiful and experiencing it in Portuguese was one of the most spiritual experiences I've ever had. The morning we went was a little sketchy, because we may or may not have seen a guy get taken out of his car and thrown into another car that sped away lol. Nothing to worry about tho! I feel very safe here in the CTM. We get to walk around the streets on p-day, and the food here is the exact same everyday. We don't like it. Its cool to walk around, and talk to people that live around here! Our room has an amazing view of Sao Paulo, and that is such a blessing because all other sides don't have one. I'll send pictures once I am allowed to when I get in the field.

Funny story... or a few...
  • I had an Elder tell me "Every time your name-tag falls off, your wife gains five kilos."
  • Elder Miller who knows the Coleman's choked super bad at dinner and almost died.
  • Me and Elder Johnson and Elder Christensen belt out hymns in the shower every night.
Also, We got to HEAR THE PROPHET, TWICE, and at the end he bore his testimony in PORTUGUESE. WE WERE HYPE. He is so awesome, and I know that he is our living prophet on the earth today, that he was called by God at this time for a purpose. He is such an amazing example.

This place is seriously the holy prison. With bars on the windows and the enclosed sport court, it looks like one too, but I feel the spirit every day here. It is so amazing, I can't even describe it. I constantly feel loved and helped from my Heavenly Father.

Elder Peterson (Calvin) left today, and he left me a nice note and signed Mbappe jersey! Ill miss seeing him around for sure.

Thanks again for all the love and support!! Love you all.

Elder Allen
